Just look at the way he sneers at his teammates. Clearly there are deep issues and he needs to be gone. I heard from a source close to the clubhouse janitor that he doesn't like him.

Regardless of whether he is a good teammate, his recent productivity increases his market value.

The theme over the weekend around my house, was we hope we make the playoffs he hits 350 with 4 hrs and we can get a starting 3b or 2b out of a trade for him.

He isn't going anywhere if Gomez is the only option to take his place.

I wonder if we could get a starting 3b or 2b for him at this point.

He has to go.
Really?

He won't be back with the Twins. The only reason he saw playing time in September was that his medicore bat was better than the alternatives in a race to the playoffs.
Really?

It's funny to read threads like this. Thanks to whomever brought it back.

Delmon has completely changed off the field and he deserves credit for the change. He's lost 30 lbs and he no longer goes out every single night. It wasn't every other night...it was every single night possilbe. He's completely dialed it back.

Delmon's time was Delmon's time and it interfered with baseball way too much.

If he didn't change his approach to his career, he wouldn't still be a Twin. Part of what helped is the Twins let go a couple of his wingmen on the team that liked to go out every night with Delmon.

They ended up trading gomez for a SS and moved the Punto/Harris paltoon to 3B. I haven't been shy about saying I enjoy defense, and thought the Twins focused more on that. They ended up moving one of them, and I picked the wrong one.

Any other reason besides the obvious why you are avoiding my questions back to you?

why is it so hard for people like you and jamiche to just say "i was wrong about delmon" instead you go into a list of items that make you feel better about being so wrong. of coure those things helped, but that is part of it. You didn't say that Delmon was the way he was because he needed to lose weight. you and jamiche have a hard time saying you are wrong with sports stuff without having to put additional qualifers and many "buts" in there.

pewter, jamiche, you were wrong about delmon. Jamiche was also wrong about AP. That doesn't make you less of a sports fan.
